About Me

My photo
Tom Gowen
Cheltenham, United Kingdom
Hello all! I am a Fine art painter/drawer living in Gloucestershire, I have studied Fine art at the Uni of Gloucestershire from 2007-2010. I am fascinated with the nature of the landscape - in particular the way in which the changing seasons and the light can affect the same view in endless different ways. I sometimes make sketches on the spot which act as a catalyst to my work when I am working inside. I do not not try to recreate the scenes depicted but I often use sketches and memories as a springboard into some of my larger drawings and paintings. The resulting works reflect the reaction that occurs between myself the landscape. To enquire feel free to get in touch with any thoughts or queries regarding my work :)
